• Choosing the successful partners for the 2011 Hat-Trick Initiative

January 5th, 2011.  In the final two months of 2010, Coaches across Continents received 46 partnership requests from communities in 21 countries.  Each community realised that simply kicking a football, or having a football match wasn’t using sport for social development but was simply playing sport.

Our Boards have been working through these new requests and on January 22nd will announce the successful partnerships for our Hat-Trick Initiatives 2011.  Each partner program is chosen after a long application process that determines whether the community can own and sustain their own program.

“Each request is judged on its own unique social challenges and partnerships are developed where Coaches across Continents can share our successful tools in growing a community based development program and also on how our organization can learn from the communities that we work in.  Community development is our goal, soccer is our teaching tool.”  Ciaran McArdle, Business Advisory Board.
