• Coaches Across Continents applauds our fantastic partners on World Aids Days

OphanaidDec 7th 2012:  On December 1st over thirteen partners of CAC, across three continents and eight countries joined in the fight against HIV/AIDS. World Aids Day was joined by our partners stretching across the World from the Swahili filled air in Tanzania, Great White shark waters of South Africa, dusty hot pitches of Ghana, Slums of India all the way to Colombia where CAC’s HIV/AIDS games were translated into Spanish.

Coaches Across Continents partners celebrated the day with all sorts of different activities all of which included educating local communities about the single virus that is the leading cause of death in Sub-Sahara Africa. Orphanaid in Ghana had quizzes, dance offs and games from CAC’s HIV/AIDS curriculum to celebrate the day. Fundacion Colombia reached out to over 4,000 children using sport to bring awareness to HIV, and Bulldog Sport Development in Zimbabwe used World Aid Day to bring together the local community by hosting a tournament including local chiefs, councilors and youth teams. Great work to our partners of CAC for the fight against HIV/AIDS!
