We are back on-field after a break and this time it’s the Tanzanian Duo of Nico Achimpota and Estahappy Mariki who are delivering Purposeful Play in the city of Arusha, Tanzania. With a combined 12 years of experience in delivering Education Outside the Classroom, we can bet the participants were Arushing to the field…
Back on-field in Tanzania, we arranged for two of our most experienced Community Impact Coaches to deliver a 3-day programme to The Girls Foundation of Tanzania (TGFT) which is based in Arusha. Founded in 2010, TGFT have been empowering young girls and women in their communities with exceptional education, so they can become the next generation of leaders.
In attendance were 18 teachers, leaders and coaches and they played over 25 games from CAC’s curriculum. While we give support and recommendations to the coaches and what to play, as part of our methodology we like to also encourage them to make their own choices on what they feel is most relevant to the community – so it was inspiring to see Nico and Estahappy deliver some of the training on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
We have now been able to support our CIC’s to deliver 5 programmes since Covid-19 took over in March. A total of 15 days, impacting over 15,000 children and young people. Be on the lookout for upcoming programmes in Cameroon, India and more!
